Creative Director & Partner
John Strohmeyer opened his advertising and design agency in 2004 after working at large agencies for 25 years. He prides himself on not only producing and directing award winning work, but solving the unique creative challenges that every marketing manager brings to each project.
Known throughout the industry for his food advertising experience, Strohmeyer was first tapped by Arby’s to manage and direct all the photography for their national merchandising materials. For Best Western International, Strohmeyer Creative managed all exhibit, collateral and web creative for the chain’s Design & Supply arm, targeted to both consumers and franchisees. Then in 2009, the agency was awarded the creative duties for Golden Corral Restaurants, managing and developing all their merchandising materials, brand décor, print advertising and web needs on a national level.
In recent years, StrohCreative has served as agency of record for Tropical Smoothie Cafes and Chicken Salad Chick, in addition to servicing clients like Tin Drum Asia Café, US Bridge and various non-profits.
Prior to opening StrohCreative, John was Senior VP and Creative Director at Doner Advertising, managing and creating national advertising campaigns for Arby's and Owens Corning consumer and business to business. He also served as VP/ Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather, Atlanta, overseeing Centers for Disease Control, Shoney's, American Express, Food Lion, Egleston Children's Hospital, Kodak and others.
John got his start at Lowe and Partners in New York, where he worked his way up to Vice President and Creative Director on accounts like Sprite, Mr. Pibb, Bob Evans, Parker Pen and many others. He graduated with a BFA from Syracuse University and did post graduate work at The School of Visual Arts, NYC. John’s been recognized by virtually every national and international advertising award including The One Show, Clio, London International Print, Cannes and ADDY.
Copy Writer & Partner
Julie Strohmeyer, copywriter, partner and CEE (chief of everything else) brings to StrohCreative 25+ years of copywriting experience in print, content development, direct and broadcast. Beginning her career in magazine publishing at Ziff Davis New York, Julie moved on to Lowe Marschalk Direct and later McCann Erickson.
As a trailing spouse and mother of four, Julie managed to build a robust freelance business before joining her life partner as creative partner in 2005. Her work for clients including Xerox, Bell South, General Motors, CARE Int’l and Crystal Springs Water won numerous awards, including the DMA Echo, John C. Caples, South Star and various ADDYs.

As our independent creative team, Eric & Todd help us on projects ranging from brand identity, design and illustration to logo refresh and web development. Recently, Eric & Todd helped brand and launch a popular new line of 8 crafted beers. Young, dynamic, multi-disciplined, award-winning … these wise guys are always challenging the status quo and looking for ways to plus a concept or design. And that’s fine with us!

Since its inception, StrohCreative has enjoyed a dynamic relationship with New Eyes Inc.’s Debra Mager. Known in the restaurant industry for her insight in defining and refining company brands, Debra brings a value-added service to StrohCreative clients as a partner in brand strategizing and implementation. Debra has launched, repositioned and revitalized dozens of national brands, including Arby’s, Hardee’s, Skyline Chili, Little Caesar’s, Tropical Smoothie Café and Golden Corral.
